ArtVoices is a collective of Artists and Art Journalists
We have come together to create a work of art. ArtVoices embodies our success and our struggle, and serves to educate collectors and the general public about the process, theory, and ethics of art. ArtVoices is a manual in which all things ‘artistic’ are celebrated, and provides a platform upon which we as artists can receive criticism and review on behalf of our peers and contemporaries.
The purpose of ArtVoices is to make information that once seemed unapproachable accessible to everyone. We strive to communicate in a language that nurtures while being provocative and compelling. The blue chip, mid-career, and emerging artists, as well as museum directors, gallerists, curators, art world professionals, and collectors will be featured in ARTVOICES in order to foster a comprehensive exchange of dialogue that supports our mission of free information exchange. By providing an egalitarian and uncensored forum we strive to serve as a manifestation of the voice of art, and all that encompasses.
There is a new cultural revolution emerging in our communities. We will move as a collective in the awakening of the rest of the world. The new voice of the urban landscape is resonating from the highest peaks to the smallest apartments in the projects, and a shared uprising is taking shape.
ArtVoices is delighted to share with you that we are significantly expanding our distribution and editorial coverage. Starting in the spring of 2009, ArtVoices will be distributed throughout the US and Canada to both independent and corporate book and magazine outlets, including all Barnes & Noble locations.
