KRISTON CAPPS was born in Texas. His writing about art has been published by the Washington City Paper, Washington Post, Art in America, ARTnews and Artforum. Capps is an editor for Architect magazine and lives in Washington, D.C. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Nico Wheadon is an independent art producer, consultant and writer who lives and works in London. Her practice—which employs both critical and experimental methodologies—surveys the sociocultural roles of creative production in relation to human geography.

RICHARD CHANG is a Southern California-based art writer, critic and educator. He has written for ARTnews, the Orange County Register, The Santa Fe New Mexican and the San Francisco Bay Guardian. He served as the O.C. Register’s full-time art critic for more than 14 years, and teaches at UCLA.

SHANA NYS DAMBROT is an art critic, curator, and author based in Los Angeles. She is currently LA CANVAS Art + Books Editor and LA Editor for Whitehot Magazine, as well as a regular contributor to the LA Weekly, Art Ltd, Bluecanvas, VS Magazine; and she is a journalist at KCET’s newest program, Artbound.

SHANA BETH MASON is an art consultant and critic based in Brooklyn. She holds a master of arts degree in the History of Art & Connoisseurship from Christie’s Education London. Mason is the Miami editor of Whitehot Magazine, and has contributed to ArtPulse Magazine, Artlog, FlashArtOnline, Miami Art Guide, Sculpture, The Art Economist, The Wanderlister+ Asia, and Whitewall Magazine.

SHANE MCADAMS is an artist, curator and writer living in Brooklyn. He received his MFA from the Pratt Institute. He has contributed cultural criticism and art reviews to the Brooklyn Rail since 2003.

SHEENA MALONE is a curator from Ireland. Having completed a masters in Curating Contemporary Art at Stockholm University in 2014, she moved to Berlin, where she currently resides. Prior to moving abroad she spent six years working at The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin.

Shantrelle P. Lewis is a 2014 United Nations Programme for People of African Descent Fellow and 2012-13 Andy Warhol Curatorial Fellow. She is a U.S.-based curator and researcher who travels internationally researching Diasporic aesthetics, spirituality, and the survival and evolution of African retentions.

TOM BETTHAUSER received his BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and his MFA from the Yale School of Art, he currently teaches Studio Art and Art History in the desert North of Los Angeles where he directs a non-profit gallery and maintains a studio practice focused on painting.

A native of North Carolina, TORI BUSH received her M.A. in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans. She is currently is the Program Director at the Creative Alliance of New Orleans, an arts writer for Pelican Bomb, Dailyserving, Artvoices and an editor for Catalogue, a guide to local art exhibitions in New Orleans. Additionally, she loves to do sculpture and ceramics. Ms. Bush’s heart currently resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.

JILL THAYER Ph.D

JILL THAYER received a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies/Museum Studies from Claremont Graduate University with research in artist emergence and professional practice. Her post-doctoral series, “In Their Own Words: Oral Histories of CGU Art,” is included in Archives of American Art at The Smithsonian Institution. As an artist, educator, curator, art historian, and marketing strategist, she brings insight to the contemporary dialogue by exploring the narratives of people and their contributions to the culture.
