A. M. WEAVER has an extensive background in arts administration and art history. She is a writer and art curator with thirty years of experience. She has published articles in international and national periodicals. Her current works focus on artists of color and from art based on conceptual to sociopolitical concepts. 

Amy Bryan is a visual artist and college and community arts educator from New Orleans, LA. She has an MFA in Printmaking from Howard University and a BA in Studio Art from Xavier University of LA. She is a member of Second Story Co-op Gallery at the New Orleans Healing Center.

Besides being a regular contributor to Artvoices, ADAM FALIK wrote the essays for The Saratoga Collection (UNO Press) and the introduction to Jim Sohr: A Retrospective (Artvoices Publishing). In addition to writing about the visual arts, Adam is an author of fiction and drama. 

AMIR BEY is a multi-discipline artist: mixed-media sculptor, writer, curator, living in New York City. As a curator he’s worked with many performers and artists, organizing over 100 events, including Billy Bang, Joseph Jarman, Cultural Odyssey, Saco Yasuma, Robin Holder, Michael Kelly Williams, Maria Mitchell and Jules Allen. 

Anna Blake is a freelance journalist working out of New York City. She received her BS in media studies with a concentration in journalism from Radford University and has since been freelance writing for different publications across the country. 

Annie Buckley is a Los Angeles-based artist and writer. Her writing about contemporary art appears regularly in publications including Artforum.com, Art in America, and The Huffington Post and she is the curator, most recently, of the “Bridging Homeboy Industries” exhibition. 

ARLENE DISTLER is an arts journalist and poet living in Brattleboro, Vermont. She writes for Art New England, American Crafts, Southern Vermont Arts & Living, Artscope, and newspapers in southern Vermont. Her first book of poetry, “Voices Like Wind Chimes” was published in 2014. 

ANDREW K. THOMPSON is an artist living and working in Los Angeles. Prior to contributing to Artvoices he has been a professional wrestler, a pillow fight promoter and a one man noise band. 

Alexander Venet is the Senior Editor of Artvoices Magazine. He is a native New Yorker who lives and works in Harlem. 

BILL SASSER is a freelance journalist and photographer who lives in New Orleans. He reported on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Haiti after the 2010 earthquake, and the BP oil spill for the Christian Science Monitor. His work has also appeared in The Oxford American, Raw Vision, and Salon. 

CARA OLEASZ is a writer who is always brainstorming new ideas. 

CATHERINE WAGLEY writes about visual culture and art in Los Angeles. She regularly contributes to the L.A. Weekly and is a columnist for the Art21 Blog. Her writing has also appeared in Photograph Magazine, Sculpture Magazine, ..might be good, Intelligent Life and a number of other publications. 

CHRIS BORS is a New York-based artist who has written for Artforum.com, Art in America, ArtReview, Artnet.com, Artinfo.com, Art Papers and Modern Painters. His work has been exhibited at MoMA PS1, White Columns and Envoy Enterprises in New York, Randall Scott Projects in Washington, D.C., Casino Luxembourg in Luxembourg and Bahnwarterhaus in Esslingen, Germany. 

CINQUÉ HICKS is an art critic who has written for Art in America, Public Art Review, International Review of African American Art, and Creative Loafing (Atlanta) among other publications. His recent book is Noplaceness: Art in a Post-Urban Landscape examines contemporary art and globalization. 

CHÚÓNG-ĐÀI VÕ is a writer and curator based in Southern California. Her research and curatorial interests include diaspora, postcolonial and decolonial aesthetics, public art, and collaborative practices.

CLAYTON CAMPBELL is a long time practicing artist, who works as a cultural producer developing projects for fellow artists, as a consultant to major cultural foundations, and as a published arts writer. 

DALE YOUNGMAN is an art curator, dealer and writer working to facilitate the flow of art in Los Angeles. She consults for new galleries, shops with collectors, and stages art in homes and commercial properties. DAMIEN JAMES is a self-taught artist and writer living in Chicago. DOUG HARVEY is an artist, writer and critic, independent curator, and educator who lives and works in Los Angeles. He is the undefeated champion of the Recerd Player Tordimint. 

EMILY COLUCCI is a New York based freelance art critic. She is the writer of Société Perrier’s bi-monthly art column “Art Attack,” as well as a contributor to Hyperallergic, WhiteWall Magazine, Bedford + Bowery, Art 21 and numerous other publications. She recently co-founded Filthy Dreams, a blog focusing on queer culture. 

ELLEN C. CALDWELL is an LA-based art historian, writer, and editor. She is an adjunct professor or art history and a featured contributor to New American Paintings and Artsy Forager.

ED SCHAD is Assistant Curator at The Broad Art Foundation and a frequent contributor to Art Review, the Brooklyn Rail, and ArtSlant. He runs the blog www.icallitORANGES.blogspot.com, and his recent catalogue essays include Sterling Ruby, Robert Lazzarini, Rosson Crow, and Albert

Writer, editor, and activist FAYEMI SHAKUR began writing political and cultural news stories for The Source magazine. Her interviews and published work have appeared in various online and print media outlets. She resides in Newark, New Jersey. 

Greg Angaza Pitts is a freelance art critic/artist from Los Angeles who holds a B.A.Degree and M.F.A. Degree. He has been a contributing writer of Be-Bop & Beyond, L.A. Sentinel, Artillery Magazine, and Travel and Art . Greg was also contributing writer to L.A. Object & David Hammons Body Prints. - 

JACOB HICKS is a Brooklyn-based painter, curator, and critical writer with an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art. He co-founded the contemporary art and science journal QuantumArtReview, and has had his work exhibited both nationally and internationally. 

James Scarborough studied art history at Berkeley and the Courtauld Institute at the University of London. He has published essays and art criticism for such publications as Apollo, Frieze, Art in America, Flash Art, art+text, New Art Examiner, Art Monthly, and Art Press. 

JILL THAYER received a Ph.D. in Cultural Studies/Museum Studies from Claremont Graduate University with research in artist emergence and professional practice. Her post-doctoral series, “In Their Own Words: Oral Histories of CGU Art,” is included in Archives of American Art at The Smithsonian Institution. As an artist, educator, curator, art historian, and marketing strategist, she brings insight to the contemporary dialogue by exploring the narratives of people and their contributions to the culture.

JESSICA L. HORTON is a doctoral candidate in vsual and cultural studies at the University of Rochester and a CASVA Wyeth Fellow at the National Gallery of Art. Her essays have appeared in The Journal of Transnational American Studies, the New Visual Studies Reader, caa.reviews, e-misférica, and (In)visible Culture.
